Lecture at Edinburgh Centre for Canadian Studies

Next week I’ll be in Edinburgh, Scotland, leading a research seminar at the Centre for Canadian Studies in the School of Social and Political Science at the University of Edinburgh.  My seminar is part of the Centre’s Autumn 2012 Open Research Seminar Series, and it will be based on my forthcoming Northern Public Affairs paper, Political vision and fiscal reality in Canada’s North.”  I also intend to incorporate elements of my May 2012 Policy Options paper, “Nunavut, Greenland and the politics of resource revenues.”

The Centre for Canadian Studies in Edinburgh is the largest community of Canadianists in the UK, if not in Europe, and it is home to a number of researchers who focus on the Canadian Arctic.  It’s a privilege to have been invited to their seminar series, and I’m looking forward to getting to know some of the Centre’s staff and students.
