PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Since 2016, Polar Aspect have offered inspiring educational programmes to schools and universities.  Foremost amongst our educational services are our innovative Model Arctic Council programmes.

Since 2012, Polar Aspect have also offered bespoke consulting services to government, business and the third-sector. Our particular focus is on Arctic public policy and government strategy, in keeping with our expertise in Arctic policy and governance.

Our services are grounded in real Arctic professional experience.  Polar Aspect’s Founding Principal, Dr Anthony Speca, has served as senior policy official in the Canadian Arctic, as well as a teacher in both secondary-school and university settings.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

If you represent a school, a university or other educational institution wishing to introduce or enhance learning about the Arctic, Polar Aspect are pleased to offer:

  • Experiential learning at secondary-school or university through Model Arctic Council or other simulation pedagogy
  • Guest lecturing at university for courses concerned with Arctic human geography, Arctic policy and politics, Arctic international relations, etc
  • Guest teaching at secondary schools for courses such as Geography, Government and Politics, Economics, Philosophy and Ethics, etc
  • Guest teaching at primary schools about the Arctic and climate change, including ‘show-and-tell’ with outdoor polar gear
  • Development of Arctic-related course materials, or integrating the Arctic within existing schemes of work
