Many thanks to Anthony Heron, a journalist with The National newspaper in Scotland, for his article ‘Here’s a “model” way to boost Scotland’s links with Sweden, Canada, America and more’.  The article features our first-ever Scotland Model Arctic Council (SCOTMAC), coming up at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) this March.  It’s a privilege to be running this conference in collaboration with SAMS and the other Scottish-Arctic Network universities, and I’m grateful to the Scottish Government; the Scottish Alliance for Geoscience, Environment and Security; and Trent University for their support.
