Appointment to UEA School of Environmental Sciences

I’m very pleased and honoured to announce my appointment as Honorary Lecturer with the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia.  I’ve been working with colleagues there over the past few years, especially Dr Martin Mahony, and it’s a privilege to be officially welcomed into their academic community.  I’m looking forward to our second Norwich Model Arctic Council for University (NORMAC) for University, returning this June for the first time since 2019 after a hiatus due to the pandemic.  I’m also excited about a joint proposal with Martin to develop a new undergraduate module on Arctic geopolitics for UEA’s Geography programme, which would incorporate NORMAC as a special experiential learning opportunity.  NORMAC also involves Trent University, where I’m appointed as Adjunct Professor, and I hope that this concurrent appointment at UEA can serve as a bridge for further Trent-UEA collaboration.
